All luxury hotels have their own medical service and a pharmacy or health centre for first aid, with a qualified doctor attached to it.

Medical services: hospitals and clinics

If you experience a health problem during your stay, you can go to hospitals or private clinics.  Although hospitals are free of charge in Mauritius, the visitors prefer private clinics.

We recommend you the "Clinique Darné," the only one which is affiliated to the social security and the national hospital Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam which is the most modern and best public hospital on the island.
