Mauritius Island
Beaches in Mauritius
Mauritius is renowned the world over as a "beach island" Secluded in the middle of the Indian Ocean, this small corner of paradise is encircled by lagoons. The blue monochrome illustrates the crystalline sea bed. One easily allows oneself to be swept away by the restful atmosphere that reigns along the bays lined with palm trees and casuarinas. One feels relaxed and far away from one's daily worries and stress in Mauritius' warm waters (20° in the winter and 27° in the summer). Discover the festive atmosphere of the Mauritian beaches. Every weekend families come to enjoy a picnic whilst listening to the sound of the waves breaking gently onto the shore and the melodies of the ice cream sellers. Please note: nudism and toplessness are not allowed on public beaches. The hotels on the island also prohibit nudism on their beach space, although they allow toplessness. |
