The freshest of prawns

Like on several islands, it is also well known that on Mauritius one eats lots of fish and seafood.  Not only in the restaurants but also in the supermarkets where one can find fresh or frozen fish and seafood.
Here's an idea for lovers of these extra fresh products or even for those who like to see them still alive?  There is a spot on the island where one will regularly find live prawns (freshwater king prawns) at an absolutely unbeatable price!  So, where is it?  It is found along the road leading to Chamarel, near the Seven Coloured Earth.  At the weekend, one can spot a few fishermen selling king prawns from Rs 100 per sachet upwards (weighing about 1kg) on the roadside.  Do not hesitate to bargain for a "Mauritian price."  A word to the wise is enough.
