Car Rental

To hire a car, one must be aged 21 years old or over and have been in possession of a clean driving licence for at least a year. It is not essential to have an international licence if one is staying on the island for less than a month.
Before collecting a hire car, one needs to check the car for any damage (brakes, lights, spare wheel etc.), the rental agreement and the insurance policy. It is strongly recommended to agree upon the duration of the rental, the time at which you will be returning the car and the fuel level, before driving off.
Prices vary from 30 to 75 € per day, according to the agency, the rental duration and the type of vehicle.

Taxi rental with a driver

Hiring a taxi is probably the best way to discover the island, especially if one lacks time. The official taxi has a yellow panel, white registration plates with black figures and a milometer, although it is rarely switched on.
