Just ahead, the restaurants La Cannelle and Indira are full. The first one that offers a Mauritian cuisine is very popular with transient tourists that come here to discover a comprehensive range of the local cuisine and its spicy dishes. The Indira is specialised in Indian dishes. Everything here is reminiscent of India. From the employees' clothes to the interior design worthy of the Maharajas palaces. Those who prefer to enjoy Asian dishes will enjoy the Fu Xiao .
And to supply the restaurants with herbs and other fresh vegetables, the owners of the premises have created a vegetable garden of a hundred square meters, where chives, mint, thyme and other aromatic herbs grow.
Wedged at the foot of the mountain range, the international conference centre, Swami Vivekananada, stands out. At nightfall its round, brushed metal structure reminds one of a flying saucer. The glass façade reflects the forested scenery of the estate. Standing under the huge terrace, on the left side of the building, you can see several hundreds deer, galloping coolly through the tall grass. Inaugurated in 2005, Swami Vivekananda hosted an international conference for the United Nations prior to the concerts of several local and foreign artists. The premises regularly host other events such as motor shows and trade fairs, amongst others
In order to appreciate the true worth of the innumerable sceneries offered by the estate, one can take the passenger train, which runs every hour. The show is even more beautiful when the sun is about to set and give way to the night. The drop in temperature hence invites one for a romantic stroll in the estate.
