Nestled in the small village of Mapou, a few kilometres from Grand Bay, the Orchards of Labourdonnais is an essential site that should not be missed.

One will find greenhouses filled with a wide variety of anthuriums' and beautiful tropical flowers such as the orchids, bougainvilleas and hibiscus.  A little further down, one will also find a unique vegetable patch with numerous vegetables (lettuces, tomatoes, christophines, etc).  Stroll along the paths whilst breathing in the sweet perfume of the exotic fruits (mangoes, litchis and guavas)  

Before leaving this place, do not forget to drop in at "La Corbeille," to taste the vegetables, fresh fruit and conserves.
