Mauritius Island

Relaxation, mountain, water or air activities?

Water sports

Planche à voileBoasting a crystal-clear reef-protected lagoon, Mauritius is well-known for its wide range of water sports. One can enjoy these activities either in the hotels’ water sports clubs or through private agencies.

The hotels provide all the required facilities and equipment. Please note that many of the activities offered by the hotels are free of charge as they are already included in the package deals. However, one has to pay to try out other activities such as the big game fishing and scuba diving, which are also open to the public.

The private agencies rent out the equipment and also organise boat trips, including a tour round the nearby islets. These private agencies are found all across the island, and particularly in the regions of Grand Bay and Mont Choisy.

Mountain Activities

GolfAlthough tourist life revolves around the white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, there are an array of mountain activities which are offered to holiday makers. The most famous one remains the golf. Many “green” enthusiasts are well aware of the popularity of the Mauritian golf course.

Air sports

The best way to enjoy the beauty of the Mauritian landscape is to contemplate it from above. Several options are available: helicopter and hydroplane offer a thrilling experience and an awe-inspiring panorama. However, parasailing remains the most accessible option.

Spa and Health Club

A hushed atmosphere, warm colours, background music and scented incense…here beauty is not only about appearance but also about a balance between the body and the mind. A wide range of institutes, spas or health clubs are pleased to invite you on a journey of inner peace and total relaxation…
