The 19th April 2008: a few activities for this weekend

Listen to some jazz with Gina Jean-Charles in Quatre-Bornes

t200 Gina

Gina Jean-Charles is a young and famous singer in the hotel’s world.  With her hoarse voice which blends well with the blues and jazz sounds, she revisits in her own way the everlasting “Imagine” by John Lennon whom will be featured in her first album and which was a big hit in the recent years on the air of our local radio stations.  Last December, she took part in the “Creole International Festival” and those who do not know her were quite surprised to discover such a unique voice.

Gina is still practicing with her singing teacher from the François Mitterand Academy and this year, she has decided to give out a concert accompanied by well-known jazz musicians including the saxophonist, Ernest Wiehe, the pianist, Noel Jean, the percussionist, Jalill Auckbarally, the bass player, Kersley Peetumbar and the trumpet player, Philippe Thomas.
