
Henceforth, the famous dodo can be contemplated in a hall at the natural history museum in Port Louis. This mythical bird which became the symbol of an entire island along with its nation has been promoted this Friday. From now on, the dodo has "its museum" boasting a hall whereof the bones discovered at the Mare aux Songes is regrouped. It's all a chapter in the history of the island which is highlighted through this new hall dedicated to this specie.
With close collaboration of the Charles Baudelaire cultural centre, several events will be organised over this weekend. "Les Caravanes des dix mots francophones", "Un voyage au cœur des mots" and poetry recitals by Khal Torabully will be featured this Saturday at 02 00pm. Come and participate in the slam session hosted by Stéphane Hart de Keating at 03 00pm. And should you fancy some music, do not miss the concert of Alain Auriant, winner of the KORA AWARD 2005 at 03 00pm.
