The Independence Day

Although, the Independence Day in Mauritius is officially held on the 12th March, the festivities are beginning since this weekend all across the island. 
For example the town council of Quatre-Bornes is organizing a parade from the Guy Rozemont stadium up to the town hall as from 01 00pm. 
There will also be a fashion show organised by the Mauritian agency, Heat.  Several artists such as the Lataniers Band, the students of the Ming Tek centre, OSB, Evoloziq and Quawali Songs will be present. 
Football tournaments and the famous flags distribution (20 000) offered by the Chinese Embassy...will be featured.  There'll be festivities all across the island, like for example the District Council in Baie du Cap is organizing a few celebrations on Sunday afternoon as from 01 30pm.
