Shooters: enjoy an eclectic evening

The "Shooters" is full on evening matches. Plasmas screens are placed inside and outside the pub to broadcast important matches. Hence, this is what primarily makes this sports pub much popular amongst the sports fans. A convivial atmosphere along with a sheer of friendship reign over there.

At nightfall, the neon lights of the "Shooters" illuminate and call to arms. Every evening, sports fans along with tasty dishes are present within this trendy pub. t200 LE LIE~1Nestled on the waterfront of Port Louis, these spots keep on attracting amateurs of this discipline.Located above the Pizza Hut, the pub offers an unrestricted view both onto the Caudan and the harbour of the capital. Ships, still impressively large, succeed one after the other in a silent furry in the harbour.

One drop by at "Shooters" to have a few drinks whilst cheering for ones favourite teams. Because it is indeed feasible to watch all the major sporting events thanks to ten or so plasma screens placed all across the wall of the bar. On evening matches, the atmosphere is electric whilst remaining convivial. The dining room vibrates to the rhythm of the audience cheers. Around ten of plasma screens broadcast the match of the English Premier League that is much popular in Mauritius.

The "Shooters" consists of three rooms to fulfil everyone's desires. The first one which is the largest one is the dining room. Here, everything reminds one that the spots are entirely dedicated to sport's passion. Wherever one lays ones gaze, one can spot golf, tennis, billiard, soccer and basket balls. All form part of the interior design. The jerseys of the various footballs and basketballs' teams are featured on the walls. Only the autographs of the stars of the sporting world are missed out to complete the picture.

Cocktails with evocative names

Located in the open air, the second dining room has a more intimate atmosphere and pleases those who seek for a romantic dinner. On a wall, a projector broadcasts the match of the day. An original way to spend a nice time together whilst keeping abreast of the scores.

Nestled on the terrace, the atmosphere is more festive and energetic at the bar. The show occurs both on the plasma screens and at the bar. The barman, between two orders, shows his skills and juggles the wines bottles. He prepares your favourite cocktail within only a few minutes. An array of cocktails is featured. Only a mere glance at the wines menu card is enough to plunge you into this eclectic atmosphere. The evocative names of the cocktails tickle ones taste buds: "Slippery nipple"; "Angel lips"; "Blue Sea" or yet "Sex on the beach."

So, let's try the "Slippery nipple." This cocktail is prepared from a drop of Baileys in a shot of Sambuca. A true delight if you like strong drinks. Just to bring a hint of mildness, we continue with a "Blue Sea." With repeated gestures over a thousand times, the barman pours pineapple juice together with white wine and Sambuca in a shaker. All is very nicely presented in a glass of champagne with sprinkled sugar on its edge.

Ninety minutes later, the referee whistles to announce the end of the match, causing exhilaration among the supporters of the winning team. But being good players, they offer a tournament to the losing team. All wrapped up in good humour and sheer friendship.
