Nestled between the mountain of Tourelle de Tamarin and the blue turquoise lagoons of the Black River, the Ruisseau Créole looks like a haven of peace where one can enjoy a nice stroll. Being more than a mere shopping mall, this place brings the gourmets and those in quest for peacefulness together.
The Ruisseau Créole absolutely needs to be visited. Located in Black River, along the west coast of the island, this luxury shopping mall has been built at the foot of a verdant mountain, which seems to watch peacefully over the premises.
Wherever one turns ones gaze, one cannot help but feels a certain serenity. An idyllic setting which certainly cannot fail to impress the strollers.
With its about ten luxury shops, nightclub, four gourmet restaurants and spa, the Ruisseau Créole is an essential spot along the west coast.
One readily and smilingly finds oneself strolling along the wide paths to discover intimist spots. Here, there are colourful posters or insistent shops' employees.
"Those who drop by at Ruisseau Créole are above all, visitors before being clients. They must feel at ease, they must be able to stroll without being constantly appealed by the over enthusiast shops' employees," underlined Soobash, employed in a clothing shop. Indeed, we almost have the impression that we are not clients anymore but, branded guests whose well-being comes first.
When the weather is fine, it's nice to sit outside the café or restaurants. One can, hence enjoy both the breathtaking view, but also the conviviality of the Mauritians who are always ready to exchange greetings.
One does not need to persuade the gourmets to make a stop at the Niu restaurant, whose excellent sushi and other oriental dishes will delight ones taste buds.
The contemporary design gives this place an energy that keeps up to a considerate team.
A show is being guaranteed by the chefs, who show great dexterity in the use of knives and other utensils.
For those who have a liking for Italian delicacies, they can choose between the dynamic setting of Zucca or Pizzadelic. Finally, there is Le Kiosk, located in the heart of the square.
An electric atmosphere reigns on the evening match, when the football or rugby fans sit outside, with their eyes riveted on the plasma screens placed all across the Kiosk.
Our steps lead us almost unconsciously towards a muffled atmosphere spot within a restful setting. The smiles are more relaxed and appealing. A portrait of the Buddha on the wall draws our attention.
We gladly let ourselves be led towards a relaxing spot. We are in the spa of Ruisseau Créole. A place, whereof, we leave a stressful life behind us for a few hours and come out relaxed, lighthearted and wide awake. There's nothing else better than to put ones on ones feet again and to enjoy as it should be of one's holidays.
